SDG&E Continues "Going to Bat for San Diego" Efforts

This year, SDG&E partnered with San Diego’s hometown baseball team, the San Diego Padres to join forces to “Go to Bat” for the community. The giving continued through the holidays, as SDG&E joined the Padres at three stops on the team’s “10 Days of Giving” caravan.

Joined by Padres players and the Swinging Friar, SDG&E made donations to the San Diego Public Library Foundation and Barrio Logan College Institute in support of youth programs that inspire future leaders in underserved communities. The programs promote science and innovation education – or STEM - for K-12 students as well as access to higher education and leadership training.

SDG&E and the Padres also made a special stop at the Downtown San Diego Partnership to support the Clean and Safe program, which strives to beautify and enhance public maintenance and safety in Downtown San Diego.

About the Padres 10 Days of Giving Caravan

From December 7 through December 16, Padres alumni, players, and of course, the Swinging Friar, made 19 stops around San Diego and Mexico to present donations to local non-profits organizations and charities during this season of giving. The annual holiday caravan tour is planned to spread some cheer to communities across the County.
