SDG&E’s Open House Webinars Scheduled to Educate Public Ahead of Peak Wildfire Season

With peak wildfire season just around the corner, we are inviting community members to join SDG&E industry experts during a series of Wildfire Resiliency & Operations Open House Webinars that we are hosting during June and July.

These webinars are for anyone interested in learning more about Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), safety during a power-shutoff event and how to be prepared for the threat of wildfire.

During the scheduled live events, participants are encouraged to ask questions of SDG&E’s Emergency Management, Wildfire Resilience & Operations, Vegetation Management and Meteorology teams about wildfire mitigation and how we are keeping our communities safe. Safety is our highest priority and San Diego Gas & Electric is committed to continuously improving wildfire preparedness to ensure the safety of everyone in the region.

Discussions will also concentrate on public programs and other infrastructure and program enhancements that help reduce the PSPS impacts to customers. For more than a decade, the company has been adding new monitoring technology, upgrading existing infrastructure and working with first responders.
