SDG&E will continue to work with the CPUC as they address the Public Safety Power Shutoff issues

SDG&E Media Statement on CPUC Public Safety Power Shutoff Investigation

On November 13, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) unanimously voted to launch an official investigation into the public safety power shutoffs that took place in October, 2019. In response, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) issued the following statement:

     “SDG&E will continue to work with the CPUC as they address the Public Safety Power Shutoff issues that have impacted residents in California. We have worked closely with our customers for the past several years to discuss their needs and concerns related to power shutoffs. Our focus is always on ensuring the safety of our customers.

     “SDG&E has been recognized as an innovative leader in wildfire mitigation and safety and we will continue to look for improvements that enhance our efforts to prevent fires and protect the public.”
