Residents work together to beautify homes and boost community pride

City Heights Neighborhood Finds Strength in Numbers

With blue skies and vibrant sun overhead, City Heights residents joined forces on Wightman Street to beautify nine of their neighbors’ homes through the annual City Heights FaceLift.

As more than 400 volunteers—including nearly 100 SDG&E Environmental All-Stars— painted, cleaned parkways and planted drought resistant succulents and trees throughout the morning and afternoon, the homes morphed from buildings in need of attention, into pieces of pride for the homeowners and community.
