LEDs Light Balboa Park for the Holidays

LEDs Light Balboa Park for the Holidays

As part of a time-honored San Diego tradition, Balboa Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland this weekend as the 39th annual December Nights kicks off. Among the holiday festival’s seasonal entertainment, international foods and free museum exhibitions, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will light up the center of the Plaza de Panama with a dazzling canopy of energy-efficient LED holiday lights as its annual gift to the city.

SDG&E will host a booth in front of the Prado restaurant at December nights encouraging customers to take advantage of LED lightbulb savings. Some of the offers will include white and multi-colored LED holiday lights for just $12 and 8-packs of LED bulbs for $10, as well as other energy efficient lightbulbs.

Save BIG at home with LED lights

Compared to traditional holiday lights, LED lights can save you up to 90 percent on your seasonal lighting costs and are safer to use inside and outside your home. LED lights are also cool to the touch, reduce the risk of fire, shine brighter and last up to 100 times longer than regular holiday lights.
