Going to Bat for... San Diego's Future

More than 20 members of the San Diego non-profit community will benefit from the SDG&ESan Diego Padres philanthropic partnership—Going to Bat for San Diego.

San Diego is no stranger to accolades like America’s Finest City and #1 Travel Destination, but in recent years, our vibrant community has been recognized with some exciting new honors.

Now ranked as one of the top cities in the country for innovation and clean tech, San Diego is on track to become one of the most inventive and green cities in the nation.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and the San Diego Padres are working together to bring that bright future one step closer to reality by supporting the organizations that develop and nurture our leaders of tomorrow.

During select August and September Padres games at Petco Park, fans will have the opportunity to show their support to four non-profits serving the region’s youth through a special text-to-donate campaign.

SDG&E will match fan contributions for each organization up to $20,000, plus an additional $1,000 if the Padres win—so be sure to gather your friends and family to cheer on the Padres and max out your community support.

Changing lives today for a better tomorrow
