Going to Bat for… Military and Veterans

Going to Bat for… Military and Veterans

More than 20 members of the San Diego non-profit community will benefit from the SDG&E–San Diego Padres philanthropic collaboration—Going to Bat for San Diego.

From the ships docked at Naval Base Coronado to the aircraft flying above Miramar Air Station, San Diego’s connection to the military is visible throughout the region.

For active duty troops, military families and veterans living in San Diego County, a number of dedicated non-profit organizations provide support for needs ranging from health care and family assistance, to career and transition services.

To support the efforts of these admirable organizations, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will donate more than $60,000 to six organizations serving local military through Going to Bat for San Diego.

Committed to America’s service members

SDG&E partners with more than 30 non-profit organizations serving the needs of San Diego’s military population. Going to Bat for San Diego builds on this foundation of support and amplifies the positive impact of the partnership by encouraging SDG&E customers and Padres fans to contribute to the community organizations working to improve the lives of the men and women that defend our nation.
